Purchasing from the website

This website records and processes your name, email address, password, postal address, purchases and communications related to your order. These details are stored and used to operate a secure login system and to fulfil your orders. The legal basis on which these details are processed is the fulfilment of our contracts with you.

If you place goods in your cart but do not complete an order, we will use your name, email address and cart contents to alert you to the incomplete order. The legal basis on which these details are processed is our and your legitimate interests in being informed of incomplete orders.

Unless you opt out, we will also use your name, email address and order history to send emails to you promoting similar goods to ones already purchased or surveys.  The legal basis on which these details are processed is consent. 

If you opt in to the following uses, we will use your data to tailor the adverts you receive from us through Google and Facebook:

  1. Google Enhanced Conversions. To take, encrypt and send your data and then match it to allow better attribution and optimisation within Google’s platforms.

If you wish to delete your account or opt-out of any consents please email info@shopatfmh.com. We store records of all transactions for seven years, after which all of your data relating to that transaction will be deleted.

The Newsletter

If you provide your email address for the newsletter, it will be stored and used to send the Shop’s newsletter to you. The email newsletter is sent using Mailchimp. This means that your email address will be sent to Mailchimp’s servers, based in the USA, for the purposes of sending the newsletter to you. You can unsubscribe at any time by using the link in the newsletter.

Other communication

If you communicate with the Shop at Freemasons’ Hall for any other reason it may monitor, record, store and use any telephone, email, webform or other communication with you in order to communicate with you in relation to your query, respond to the issues raised, check any information you have provided, maintain records of recent communications for legal reasons and improve the quality of the services it offers. The legal basis for this processing is the legitimate interests of the Shop at Freemasons’ Hall as a shop and an online shop.
